Pajama School: stories from the life of a homeschool graduate

Filed under: Musings from our Homestead to yours!, Product Reviews — Lisa @ 7:29 am

There are a lot of books that like to share on ‘the best methodology’ to homeschool our children, the best ’style’, what curriculum works best, etc. but rarely one from a homeschool graduate! Pajama School was an interesting read, from a different perspective–one who actually has been homeschooled and lived to tell the tale! ;)

Natalie Wickham shares her stories of being raised in a homeschooling family and the various experiences and adventures that God put in front of her. I am of the belief that homeschooling is not just ‘educating or “doing school” at home’, it’s reach goes far beyond just that, it is a lifestyle a way of doing things in such a manner that make every minute of the day a learning experience–whether reading scripture together as a family, helping your little brother get his shoes tied, cleaning out the barn, reading a classic in a tree, or sitting at a table doing a math lesson! Join Natalie as she shares all she has learned along this path!

Pajama School is a very interesting read, full of reality, humor, and encouragement–that offers a glimpse inside the life of a homeschooling family who heard the call to follow a different path! Great read!
