Mini Eggs………..a Homestead Originals……original!
So…our chickens always keep us guessing. Last winter, nary an egg to be found! This winter–they did better, and then when early spring hit–we started getting tons of great farm fresh eggs. Right now it appears we are in a season of ‘the sneaky chicken that is eating the eggs!’ Never a dull moment in our chicken coop!
However…the other day my son came running in the house shouting how “Albert” (a hen named Albert….my son named her when he was 2—how was he to know!?! 
anyhow–”Albert laid a little egg for me!” Not thinking much of it I said how nice that was and started to move on…only to be stopped…”NOooo LOOK Mama!” Okay…..and low and behold…..”Albert” did lay a little egg! Wow. Reallllllly little!
Is it just us or do these oddities happen at your place too? lol
